I can’t help it, I live for the drama! Of course my messy self will drink whatever tea Prince Harry chooses to spill his memoirs, Backup. (He may have dropped his royal title, but that’s an iconic title for an autobiography!) The publisher promised Harry “raw, unflinching honesty” about his childhood and life in the monarchy, and also noted that Harry has used income from Backup to donate $1.5 million to Sentebale — an organization he co-founded Prince Seeiso of Lesotho in 2006 which supports children and young people in South Africa whose lives have been affected by poverty, inequality and HIV/AIDS. So at least I can feel slightly less guilty about gobbling up every last word when it comes out on January 10th?
To scratch another literary itch, I’m embarrassingly excited Emily Henryof the upcoming rom-com Happy place (April 23), the continuation of her travesty Book lovers, my favorite book of 2022. Basically, if Henry writes this, I’m going to faint and then disgustedly tell everyone I’ve ever met that they have to read it. (Sorry second grade Sarah, I hope you enjoyed your honeymoon, but you’re done Beach Read Yet?!)
