Taking to Twitter, production house Sun Pictures shared a series of photos from the cake cutting celebration on the sets of the film, featuring the lead cast and crew members of the film.
“It’s a wrap for #Jailer! Theater la sandhippom #JailerFromAug10,” they wrote.
Last year, the makers of the film released the first look poster of Rajnikanth and treated the fans with the news of the start of the shooting of the film.
In the poster, Rajinikanth was seen wearing an off-white shirt and khaki pants. He was also seen holding his hands behind his back and a full-length off-white shirt.
The announcement of the film has fans excited. Looks like “Jailer” will be an action thriller. The ‘Lingaa’ actor collaborated with the filmmaker Nelson Dilipkumar for this project.
According to a report, a US-based media outlet, the plot of the movie is still under wraps and it belongs to the action genre. The cast includes Kannada language film star Shiva Rajkumar, Malayalam language film legend Mohanlal and Tamannaah Bhatia and Ramya Krishnan from Baahubali privilege. Meanwhile, Rajinikanth will also be seen in the upcoming film ‘Lal Salaam’.
Recently, the makers of ‘Lal Salaam’ unveiled the first poster of their film which shows Rajinikanth as Moideen Bhai walking amidst what are believed to be communal riots in Bombay (now Bombay) in 1993.
Sharing the first look, Rajinikanth’s daughter Aishwaryaa, who has directed the film, took to Instagram and wrote, “#Moideenbhai …welcom …#lalslaam can’t caption when your heart is beating! #blessed .”
Rajinikanth will be seen playing an extended cameo in Lal Salaam. It went on floors earlier this year.
The film was released with a pooja ceremony last year on November 5. Sharing pictures from the event, Aishwarya wrote on her Twitter page, “When your FATHER trusts you. When you believe that GOD is beside you. MIRACLES do come true. After 7 long years. The journey begins again with tears of gratitude and joy (sic).”
The film stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth. It will have music by AR Rahman.
