First KL Saigal Award for IFFJK – Jammu Kashmir Latest News | THE TOURISM

Jammu, June 20: Universal Film Makers Council (UFMC) and Harman Cultural & Educational Society (HC&ES) jointly organizing a mega Jammu & Kashmir International Film Festival at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Spiritual Growth Center, Katra, Jammu in the month of August 5 and 6, today announced the first major KL Saigal Award for the Jammu and Kashmir International Film Festival and invited the people of UT to join the extravaganza for greater participation.
Addressing a press conference in Jammu, Universal Film Makers Council, President, Dr. MA Mummigatti, a world-renowned iconic figure in film promotion, said his vision is to bring all regional and Indian cinema in an aspiration for collective prosperity. “Jammu and Kashmir is a land of diverse beauty and intellect and holding a festival here would send a message to the world about the peace and tranquility that exists here.”
Dr. MA Mummigatti has teamed up with a famous Kannada actor Jai Prabhu, who has come to Jammu to announce the big film project here. Gurvinder Kour, General Secretary HC&ES also graced the event on the occasion.
He said that for organizing festivals and screening films in Jammu, entries for the same can be tracked on the official website www.ufmc.org .where filmmakers can submit their films at the earliest.
Analyzing the varied number of prizes and awards at the show, Dr. MA Mummigatti said that IFFJK will spearhead the first ever KL Saigal Award from Jammu, which would be a global insignia for all festivals and the honor would be given to big personalities of Bollywood and film world.
“It is for the first time in the history of Indian Cinema that the KL Saigal Award has been instituted and I feel privileged that it has started from Jammu,” said Dr. MA Mummigatti, adding that UFMC collaborators include top directors like Ramesh Sippy, Subhash Ghai and South Celebrity star Suman Talwar who has completed 700+ films in multiple languages ​​and other directors like them who are associated with his efforts and are always at their disposal to raise cinema to higher zeniths.
Big stars from Bollywood as well as the South will be arriving in Jammu during the Jammu and Kashmir International Film Festival in August. Jai Prabhu, the rising superstar of Kannada films, speaking on the occasion said that along with Dr. MA Mummigatti have designed the global expression of cinema across the globe and are looking forward to Jammu and Kashmir for new ventures.
“Already my two feature films are going to release this month and I have come here to explore filmmaking possibilities in various locations of Jammu,” said Jai Prabhu.
He said soon after the culmination of IFFJK, he would announce a feature film to be shot in Jammu and the South in collaboration with artists, technicians and others.
