He speculated that Warner Bros “Begging Christian Bale for months and months” hoping it would have come to an end before taking George Clooney for now:
“I think there’s a world where they didn’t shoot it until two weeks ago. It feels like it was like, ‘It could be anyone,’ and I’m sure they’ve been asking Christian Bale for months and months hoping it’ll break, and it was like” No.’ So it’s like, ‘Okay, let’s do another Batman.’ And they just grabbed George Clooney.”
