Kartik Aaryan – Kiara Advani starrer Satyaprem Ki Katha hit the screens last week. Directed by Sameer Vidwans, the film which opened on a good note saw a huge rise in its opening weekend collections.
In this box office report, we look at the opening weekend collections of Satyaprem Ki Katha in overseas markets while comparing the same with Kartik Aaryan’s previous releases. Raising USD 1.40M [Rs. 11.50 cr.] Satyaprem Ki Katha has emerged as Kartik’s second highest weekend grosser in overseas markets. Although the film does not surpass the business of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 which had collected $2 million, Satyaprem Ki Katha’s overseas business surpasses his other releases like Luka Chuppi which collected $1.13 million, Love Aaj Kal which collected 1 .10 million, Pati I Patni Aur Woh which collected $0.967 million, Shehzada which collected $0.80 million and even Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety which collected $0.73 million.
Currently, Satyaprem Ki Katha continues to release both domestically and internationally. In fact, going by the trend, trade forecasts suggest that the film’s business will continue to show growth in the first week.
