And shockingly, it’s not pink.

There are levels to Margot Robbie‘small Barbie appearance press tour, and, last night, officially reached the highest grade.

On Wednesday, Robbie recreated not one, but two vintage versions of Barbie while promoting the upcoming film in London. First, he went inside a custom Vivienne Westwood baby pink satin dress with a white tulle stole and coordinating opera gloves, an ode to the enchanted evening Barbie of the 1960s. And then, she changed into yet another iconic outfit for the VIP photocall and before the film’s afterparty at the Chiltern Firehouse a few hours later.

Ready for a night out on the town, Margot wore a bright red corseted mini dress by British-Turkish designer Dilara Findikoglu and teamed it with a matching drawstring bag, peep-toe heels and a sleek updo. The entire look was inspired by the extremely rare 1962 Barbie Brunette Bubble Cut (minus the chocolate brown hair).

Surprisingly, both appearances are actually related. For Barbie’s 50th anniversary, the Bubble Cut doll came in a pink Enchanted Evening dress – a reference only true Barbie fans have, and that’s about it.

“We’re finding Barbie references from decades past, and we’re really doing it for the big Barbie fans out there, people who really collect these Barbies. We hope to excite them,” said Margot People about how she and stylist Andrew Mukamal create each look, adding, “We combine Barbie references with great designers.”
