Olivia Coleman and Jessie Buckley are reuniting for new film Wicked Little Letters, with the first image from the project released and a UK release date confirmed.
Wicked Little Letters is a comedy-mystery film directed by Thea Sharrock, Me Before You. The film is set for wide release on February 23, 2024, but will premiere at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival.
The film follows Buckley as Rose Gooding and Colman as Edith Swan, living in Littlehampton in the 1920s. Their existence is disrupted when people in the town start receiving scandalous letters and Rose is immediately blamed.

She begins to lose respect in the town and her daughter is threatened with being taken away. Meanwhile, Anjana Vasan’s police officer Gladys begins to piece together the mystery along with a group of women from the town.
Jonny Sweet is writing the script, while other cast members include Timothy Spall (Harry Potter), Joanna Scanlan (The Larkins), Malachi Kirby (Small Axe), Gemma Jones (Bridget Jones), Lolly Adefope (Ghosts), Eileen Atkins (The crown) and Alisha Weir (Matilda the Musical by Roald Dahl).
This is a reunion for Colman and Buckley, who both starred in The Lost Daughter. In it, they played the same character at different ages and were both nominated for an Oscar for their performances.

Colman is currently starring Secret Invasion alongside Samuel L. Jackson and Emilia Clarke. However, Wicked Little Letters is just one of many exciting upcoming films for the Oscar winner.
He will join the cast of Paddington 3while he was also seen inside the Wonka trailerin which apparently she will play a villain.
“I think you can tell from the trailer that she’s not the romantic lead, she’s one of the villains. She’s an awesome villain, she’s awesome,” said writer-director Paul King.
