Vicky Kaushal is all set to star in another family drama after the success of Zara Hatke Zara Bachke. Big Indian Family is produced by Yash Raj Films and stars Manushi Chillar in the lead role. The film, directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, will hit the theaters on September 22.
The first teaser for the film was released on Monday, giving a glimpse of the comedic family drama. The story, set in rural India, revolves around the chaos that unfolds in Vicky’s character’s family as a result of unexpected events beyond their control.
The actor passionately discusses the importance of family ties in the teaser until he gets emotional with his wacky family members. He even refers to his family as a “snake” capable of destroying his dreams. A chorus of voices then accuses him of speaking negatively about his loved ones. He abruptly changes his tone, stating that he wants to warn the public about the “Great Indian Family”.
Manushi expressed her joy, saying, “I am very excited and excited that two of my films have been announced today. “Operation Valentine” and “The Great Indian Family”. Two movies in the same day! Both dramatically different species. “Operation Valentine” is an action-drama, it’s an air force action which is very different from “The Great Indian Family” which is a family entertainer, a very light, sweet story. Two roles, two shades, two announcements – only Gratitude. In both the films people will see me in completely different roles. I absolutely loved shooting both films and I’m very excited for their release.”
Vicky Kaushal is all set to star in Meghna Gulzar’s Sam Maneckshaw biopic, which is set to release in December. Former Miss World Manushi Chillar made her film debut in Akshay Kumar’s Prithviraj last year.
