Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor recently took to her social media to share that her upcoming film with acclaimed filmmaker Hansal Mehta, The Buckingham Murders, will be premiering at the 67th BFI London Film Festival.
KAREENA’S NEW MOVIE TO PREMIERE AT LONDON FESTIVAL
As she shared the details and her photo on her Instagram handle, she captioned it: “The Buckingham Murders’ a journey that @hansalmehta, @ektarkapoor and I premieres at the 67th BFI London Film Festival.”
“It’s an atmospheric thriller, exploring themes of loss, closure and the immigrant experience. What makes this moment even more special is that it’s one of only three films from India to make it to the festival! If you happen to be in the UK , we hope you can catch it, it will be shown at the Curzon Mayfair on October 14 and 15,” he concluded.
Buckingham Murders marks Kareena’s debut as a producer. The film has been bankrolled by Ektaa Kapoor.
IN FRONT OF KARIEN
This will be Kareena’s comeback on the big screen after her outing in Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha which had been a box office hit. On the work front, she is also looking forward to the Netflix thriller Jaane Jaan, which marks her digital debut. It is directed by Sujoy Ghosh and also features Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat in pivotal roles.
