EXCLUSIVE: Deadline can tell you first that the new Bad Girls The film that Paramount was preparing for Paramount+ is now in theaters. The release date is January 12, 2024 – that’s the 4-day MLK holiday weekend.
There will be a big marketing game here for the film. This is the second time in recent memory that Paramount has switched a Paramount+ release for the big screen, the latest being last fall’s smash hit Smile.
The new pic stars Angourie Rice, Reneé Rapp, Auli’i Cravalho, Jaquel Spivey, Tina Fey, Tim Meadows, Jenna Fischer, Busy Philipps, Avantika, Mahi Alam, Christopher Briney, Bebe Wood, Ashley Park, Connor Ratliff and Jon Hamm .
Arturo Perez and Samantha Jayne direct the new film, written by Fey. Broadway Video’s Lorne Michaels returned to produce alongside Fey, with Erin David, Caroline Maroney and Micah Frank overseeing for Broadway Video, along with Eric Gurian and Jeff Richmond for Little Stranger.

Also opening against Bad Girls on January 12th it’s by Sony The Book of ClarenceMGM’s The Beekeeper and an untitled New Line event film.
The original Bad Girls film directed by Mark Waters and written by Fey from the novel by Rosalind Wiseman. grossed over $130 million worldwide and launched the careers of Rachel McAdams and Amanda Seyfried, while also being a box office hit for Lindsay Lohan at the time.
