Amy Jackson hits back after being trolled for her ‘Cillian Murphy look’ | Bollywood

Amy Jackson has broken her silence on negative comments in her latest Instagram appearance. Talking to you The Times of India, Amy responded to the snide comments about her appearance, calling it “quite sad.” The actress also revealed her reaction to many fans comparing her transformation to Oppenheimer star Cillian Murphy. Speaking to Times of India, Amy said, “I am an actor and I take my work very seriously. For the last month, I have been shooting a new project in the UK. So, for the character I am playing, I had to slim down and fully commit to the role. The online outcry from the (mostly male) Indian demographic is quite sad. I’ve worked with male co-stars who had to drastically change their look for a film and were praised for it. The moment a woman does it with unusual hair and makeup that doesn’t match her beauty ideal, they think they have the right to troll you.”

Responding to many users comparing her to Cillian Murphy, Amy said she was ‘over the moon’ that so many people thought she looked like the Peaky Blinders star and was ready to prepare her Birmingham accent for a comeback .

Last week, Amy Jackson shared a bunch of photos from a recent outing with boyfriend Ed Westwick. Many commented on how he bore an uncanny resemblance to Thomas Shellby, a popular character played by Cillian in Peaky Blinders. “You were great in Oppenheimer,” said one fan. “Cillian Murphy got her identity hacked,” another person commented.

Amy is dating Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick. He played Chuck Bass on the hit show. Recently, they vacationed together in Udaipur. Ed and Amy Jackson confirmed their relationship when Amy made an Instagram post last June. Earlier she was engaged to Giorgos Panagiotou.

Amy has starred in several Bollywood films such as Ekk Deewana Tha, Singh is Bliing and Freaky Ali among others.
