Before the WGA strike began, legendary director Martin Scorsese says he was working on a film with the help of Todd Field and Kent Jones.

Talking to you GQ In a recent profile of the director, it was mentioned that Scorsese has a few films in the works, including an adaptation of Marilyn Robinson’s novel Home. According to the report, Scorsese was working on the project with Todd Field, the director of Tár, as well as Kent Jones.
The subject of the film came up as Scorsese discussed how much longer he can continue to make original films that “say something” on a scale. Other films are said to be in the works, but nothing else has been mentioned beyond the Home adaptation.
Not much is known about the film, but Scorsese has jokingly noted that he will continue to make films “until they pick me up off the floor.” With the WGA strike temporarily over, we’re likely to hear more about the planned film in the future.
Next up for Scorsese is the highly anticipated Killers of the Flower Moon. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Lily Gladstone, Jesse Plemons, Tantoo Cardinal, John Lithgow, Brendan Fraser, Cara Jade Myers, JaNae Collins, Jillian Dion, William Belleau, Louis Cancelmi, Tatanka Means, Michael Abbott Jr., Pat. Healy, Scott Shepherd, Jason Isbell and Sturgill Simpson.
Killers of the Flower Moon is expected to be released on October 20, 2023.
