“Jawan” Fund: Shah Rukh Khan’s latest movie Jawan is estimated to have crossed 575 crore at the Indian box office in terms of net collections. The film made a total of 389.88 crores in the first week and minted an additional 136.10 crores in the second week. Jawan collected Rs 7.60 crore on third Friday, 12.25 crore on third Saturday, 14.95 crore on third Sunday, 5.40 crore on third Monday, around 5.14 crore on third Tuesday and will probably earn around Rs 5.20 crore on the third Wednesday.
With this, Shah Rukh Khan’s latest film is estimated to collect Rs 576.52 crore in India from Wednesday, according to trade portal Sacnilk. The film had an overall occupancy of 13.21 percent in its Hindi shows on Tuesday. Theaters in Chennai (25.50%), Lucknow (15.75%), Mumbai (15.50%), Hyderabad (14.25%), National Capital Region or NCR (14%), Bengaluru (13.75% ), Kolkata ( 13.50 per cent), Jaipur (12.50 per cent) and Chandigarh (11.25 per cent) contributed to the film’s capture in Hindi shows on Tuesday.
The film had an overall occupancy of 20.16 percent in its Tamil shows, while its Telugu shows had an overall occupancy of 15.95 percent on the same day. Pondicherry (43.50%), Salem (30.67%), Chennai (23.25%), Dindigul (22%) and Trichy (20.75%) are among the major contributors in capturing film in all Tamil shows. Karimnagar (33.25%), Vizag-Vishakhapatnam (21%), Warangal (18.25%), Hyderabad (17.75%), Bengaluru (15.75%) and Kakinada (15.50%) were among top areas he contributed to JawanResidence in Telugu.
At the global box office, Jawan has become the fastest Hindi film to cross the Rs 1,000 crore mark. Shah Rukh Khan’s latest film crossed the Rs 1,000 crore mark within 19 days of its release, while the superstar’s previous film Pathan it took 27 days to achieve the same. Directed by Atlee, the film features Shah Rukh Khan in a dual role as Vikram Rathore and his son Azad. The film also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, Ridhi Dogra and Aaliyah Qureshi in important roles. Jawan It also features Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt in cameo appearances. The film released worldwide on 7 September in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
