Jason Momoa, Gal Gadot and Oscar Isaac film the dramatic fight for the new film

Jason Momoa, Gal Gadot and Oscar Isaac shoot a big action-packed scene for their new movie In the hand of Dante.

The project, which has been in the works for over a decade, is based on the 2002 book of the same name by Nick Tosches and is directed by The Diving Bell and the ButterflyJulian Schnabel.

The three Hollywood A-listers lead the impressive cast – and it looks like they pull off some interesting stunts too.

In a new behind-the-scenes image from the production, Isaac is seen bound and gagged on a rooftop while Gadot and Momoa point guns at each other on either side of him.

The film is set in the present day and in the 14th century, according to a synopsis from when the project was in early gestation in 2011, and focuses on a fictional version of writer Tosches (the role of Isaac) and poet Dante Alighieri in his era.

Tosches is drawn into a dangerous underworld when he is asked to authenticate Dante’s original manuscript for The Divine Comedywhile we also see Dante as he tries to finish his masterpiece.

Johnny Depp was originally slated to play the role of Toses after he bought the rights to the novel in 2008, with Sabel directing, though the director revealed The guardian last month that Isaac had taken over the role, with Depp no ​​longer involved.

Momoa recently starred Quick Xand we’ll see next Aquaman and the Lost Kingdomwhile Gadot is set to appear in Disney’s live-action Snow White remake as the Evil Queen.
