No plans for New Year's Eve in Burlington? You still have a chance to spend it with the cast of the film Grease.
The 1977 film is featured in this presentation on December 31 at the Burlington Performing Arts Center (BPAC).
The interactive program brings the film along with all the lyrics to the song to audiences in a presentation that fills auditoriums across North America.
Hosted by Burlington Student Theatre's Rainer Noak, your show ticket includes sparkling wine, costume contests, photos and other fun items to make the event a truly memorable occasion.
“Sing-a-Long-a Grease it's a screening of the 1977 film with lyrics on screen, it's not a live show, there's a host who does a 20 minute pre-show before the film and returns after the interval but isn't on stage during the film. The audience are the stars and after being warmed up and briefed by the host they should interact with the film and be entertained,” according to the event organisers.
The film has become a fan favorite over the years due to its catchy songs and the big screen presence of Travolta and the late Newton-John who star as high school sweethearts in typical small town USA. Set in the 1950s, Grease has grown in popularity over the years with the help of a strong cast and songs that are easy to sing along to – such as Hopelessly devoted to you, you're the one I want, summer nights and Greased Lightnin'.
The show starts at 8pm
