George Clooney says that his and Brad Pitt's new film, Wolves“feels like an R-rated Ocean's movie.”
Talking to me Total Film MagazineClooney shared some new details about Wolfs, the upcoming action thriller in which he stars alongside Pitt.
“He's a sad, sad guy. He is angry. He's getting old. He turns 60 in a few weeks. It's all downhill for him after that,” Clooney shared about his character. “Uh… It's a very good movie. I love this guy, Jon Watts. What a director. It's out there. We just did a screening of it, and the place was kind of spoiled for it. Well, we're excited about it. We think it's a really fun, dark – very dark – crazy movie… It feels like an R-rated Ocean's movie.”
What do we know about George Clooney and Brad Pitt's Wolves?
While not much is known about the plot at the moment, Wolfs will see Clooney and Pitt playing professional “fitters” who find themselves hired for the same job. The film also stars Amy Ryan, Austin Abrams and Poorna Jagannathan.
Wolfs was announced in September 2021, with production set to begin in January 2023 but then put on hold later that year due to the SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) strike.
In addition to directing duties, Watts (Spider-Man: No Way Home) also wrote the script for Wolfs. He also produced the film along with Clooney, Pitt, Grant Heslov, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner and Dianne McGunigle.
Clooney and Pitt starred in all three of Steven Soderbergh's Ocean's films, which include 2001's Ocean's Eleven, 2004's Ocean's Twelve, and 2007's Ocean's Thirteen. Additionally, both had major roles in his Burn After Reading 2008, which was directed by Joel and Ethan Coen.
Wolfs is released in theaters in the United States on September 20, 2024, from Sony Pictures.
