Travis Scott's camp has shared new details about the experimental film tour for his film, AggroDr1ftwhich is set to make a big splash with its official release.
According Variety, to watch the Harmony Korine-created film — which debuted at the Venice Film Festival last fall — viewers will have to travel to unconventional venues like a strip mall. EDGLRD, the media group tasked with organizing the event, announced the AggroDr1ft The promotional tour will kick off at the Crazy Girls strip club in Los Angeles on February 7, 2024.
“The distribution of it Aggro Dr1ft transcends the limitations of the antiquated movie theater experience,” EDGLRD head of film strategy and development Eric Cohn said in a statement. “You don't just watch Aggro Dr1ft — you enter a new world, and these events will allow the audience to immerse themselves in it.”
The film, which earned moderate 38 percent on Rotten Tomatoesfollows a ruthless Miami Beach hitman as he hunts his next target, uniquely shot entirely through an infrared lens.
After debuting at LA strip club, EDGLRD's Aggro Dr1ft will be broadcast in selected venues nationwide. With creative visuals by EDGLRD, the event will also feature performances from Korine and composer Araabmuzik, with more acts to be announced later.
The new details about Cactus Jack's movie tour come shortly after he teased the idea of his next album.
“Imagine an album where every song is the city it was made on tour in,” one fan speculated on Twitter earlier this month.
Scott responded a day later and appeared to confirm he was running with the idea, writing: “R u in my brain or what.”
The Houston native has been busy recording while on his Circus Maximus tour, including studio shifts before performing at venues across North America.
“B4 Every Show,” he wrote on his Instagram Stories alongside a photo of his laptop with production software open before a tour stop. “Boston I'm trying to record here again. Chase B made it out there.”
The 32-year-old gave fans a taste of what he's been up to for his UTOPIA tracking by preview an unreleased song during a nightclub DJ set last weekend.
