Mark Ruffalo shares his thoughts on Marvel's recent struggles in a magazine interview
Mark Ruffalo recently talked about leading a standalone Vessel movie for Marvel.
In a new interview with GQ magazine, Ruffalo said, “I'd love to do a standalone Hulk, I just don't think it's ever going to happen.”
The actor told the report: “It's too expensive to make a whole movie, so that's why they use it Vessel so sparingly.'
“I examined myself!” added the 56-year-old, talking about the ongoing changes at Marvel Studios in 2023.
When asked about Marvel's recent struggles balancing both movies and Disney+ projects, Ruffalo said, “I think the expansion into streaming has been really exciting.”
However, he noted, “The thing about Marvel movies is that you had to wait three years and that created a mystery.”
“These fixes could be really positive things. Will it be what it was? I don't know,” said the actor.
Elsewhere in the interview, Ruffalo said the actors wouldn't be able to play other traditional dramatic roles if it was related to Marvel movies.
“I've sat in movie theaters with the movies I've made with great directors,” said 13 Continued 30 actor.
Ruffalo pointed out, “I've also experienced these Marvel movies with audiences and the amount of community and expression…it touched every emotion.”
“That means something to me. I'm not underestimating it,” added the actor.
