Bollywood has some highly anticipated releases in store for May 2024. While Rajkummar Rao is gearing up for two big releases, Srikanth and Mr and Mrs. releases to look forward to. Fans can expect a fusion of light and intense dramas to grace their screens this month.

Here are some movies releasing in May 2024:

Srikanth

Release date: May 10

Srikanth is an exciting biopic about industrialist Srikanth Bolla who pursued his ambitions against all odds. Despite being visually impaired, he became a successful businessman. The film will narrate his life journey and how he overcame obstacles and achieved success. The official trailer features Rajkummar Rao as Srikanth, who expresses his desire to become “India's first visually impaired President”. His character navigates the challenges of a flawed education system that has little to no provision for the differently-abled. The film is directed by Tushar Hiranandani and written by Jagdeep Sidhu and Sumit Purohit. Along with Rajkummar, the film also stars Jyotika, Alaya F and Sharad Kelkar in pivotal roles.

Kartam Bhugtam

Release date: May 17

The psychological thriller, Kartam Bhugtam, may delve into the universal truths of astrology and karma. As the title suggests, the film will be based on the fact that every action has its consequences. It stars Shreyas Talpade, Vijay Raaz, Madhoo and Aksha Pardasany in pivotal roles. It is released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam languages.

Baya Ji

Release date: May 24

Manoj Bajpayee starrer Bhaiyya Ji will present a raw picture of rural India. According to the official teaser, the film will be set against the backdrop of Bihar's Sitamarhi. The video shows a fight between a mob and Bajpayee's character. The entire film is said to be filled with “intense action, gripping revenge drama and heartfelt feelings of family bonding”.

Mr. & Mrs. Battle

Rajkummar Rao's second release of the month, Mr. & Mrs. Mahi stars him alongside Janhvi Kapoor. The sports drama has yet to reveal any plot details. However, a poster shared by Karan Johar showed Rajkummar and Janhvi facing a stadium as they cheer on the Indian cricket team wearing blue number 7 jerseys.
