Eddie Murphy in “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F.”
Eddie Murphy is back on the beat Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Fone of the new movies on Netflix this week.
Murphy, of course, starred as Axel Foley in three previous ones Beverly Hills Cop films, in 1984, 1987 and 1994.
Now, three decades after his last run as the fearless Detroit police detective, Murphy returns once again to Beverly Hills, California, this time to help his grown daughter Jane (Taylor Page) solve a case of crime and corruption .
Murphy is not alone in his comeback Beverly Hills Cop Earth. Along for the ride are original trilogy stars Judge Reinhold, John Ashton, Paul Reiser and Bronson Pinchot, while Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Kevin Bacon are new to the cast. Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F directed by Mark Molloy.

Here’s a look at some of the other major new titles on Netflix this week.
‘Spider-Man’ Trilogy (2002-07)
Before Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland played Peter Parker/Spider-Man on the big screen, the friendly neighborhood webslinger was played by Tobey Maguire under the direction of Sam Raimi.
The first Spiderman 2002 film finds Spidey facing off against Norman Osborn/The Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe), while Spider-Man 2 pits the superhero against Otto Octavius/Doc Ock (Alfred Molina). Spider-Man 3 finds Spidey squaring off against three villains: Eddie Brock/Venom (Topher Grace), Flint Marko/Sandman (Thomas Haden Church) and New Goblin/Harry Osborn (James Franco).
Maguire, Dafoe, Molina and Church, of course, reprized their roles for the Marvel Cinematic Universe extravaganza Spider-Man No Way Home in 2021.

Back to the Future Trilogy (1985-1990)
Director Robert Zemeckis directs the Back to the Future film trilogy, a trio of time-traveling adventures starring Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly, who travels back and forth through time in a DeLorean time machine created by Dr. Emmet “Doc” Brown (Christopher Lloyd).
McFly’s adventures take him back to 1955 in 1985 Back to the Futureto 2015—and back again to 1955—to 1989 Back to the Future Part II and back to the Old West in 1885 Back to the Future Part III.
The Back to the Future The trilogy debuts on Netflix on Monday, July 1.
The Karate Kid (1984)
Setting the stage for the return of the hit Netflix original series Cobra Kai Season 6, Part 1 on July 18, the original version of The Karate Kid starts streaming on Netflix.
The film goes back to the 1980s to tell the story of young Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio), who learns karate from his apartment building maintenance man Mr. Miyagi (Noriyuki ‘Pat’ Morita) to defend himself against bully Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka).
Circumstances, however, lead to a showdown between Daniel and Miyagi and their rivals Johnny and John Kreese (Martin Kove) – who trains his students in a dirty, “no mercy” style of karate at the Cobra Kai dojo.
The Karate Kid debuts on Netflix on Monday, July 1.

Additionally, two new Netflix original movies debut on the streamer on Friday, July 5—Goyo and The imaginary.
