You may not believe it from the film’s critics, but Netflix has another huge success, thanks to the results of Red Notice’s opening day – Netflix’s latest original film starring Ryan Reynolds, Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot.
Directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber (Dodgeball, We’re The Millers), the film shows Johnson’s Interpol agent seeking the help of “the best art thief in the world” (Reynolds) to try to catch the “most wanted art thief”. to the world ”Gadot and the film becomes very twisted from there.
The film has been criticized. Rotten Tomatoes’ current rating is low 36%, with Variety noting: “The Red Notice is lukewarm and dull, and does more to highlight the shortcomings of each of the eaves idols than to emphasize their banking prowess.“
Ouch.
But what do these annoying critics know? This “charity with funding” gives Netflix something of a record, with Reynolds tweeting about the success.
WOW #RedNotice is @Netflix the biggest movie start day. Congratulations to this whole team! I look forward to the Red Notice (Taylor version) pic.twitter.com/tyGFqhKWao

Dwayne Johnson also wrote on Twitter something interesting, that movie has “92% audience rating”. Again, it refers to the Rotten Tomatoes audience score, which is very different from what the critics say about the film – proving that when you have big stars in your films with big fans, then it is more or less proof of critics.
Netflix will hope to continue its fairly successful series last (Squid Game, You and the huge success of Arcane), with the release of Tiger King 2 on Wednesday (November 17th).
It should, as Disney Plus recently added a ton of new content to its service, Disney Plus Day, and revealed more Marvel goodies to come to service.
These hits come at a time when Netflix is radically changing the way it measures the popularity of its movies and shows.
