New movies in cinemas and flow for watching this weekend: November 26, 2021

by Stewart Cole

As I write this, I’m full of turkey, ham and pumpkin pie, but I’m excited to share with you the best new movies to watch in cinemas and movies available on streaming services you do not want to miss.

Usually, we fill up on good food and watch football on Thanksgiving, but one of my favorite new things is to add a movie to the mix this holiday season. We have many options to choose from this week, either from our couch or going to the movies.

For families, our annual animated film Turkey Day is released Charm. The film was written by Lin-Manuel Miranda who follows a young Colombian girl who struggles to be the only member of her family without magical powers.

Adults probably have VERY many options to watch this week. In the movies, we see the return of Lady Gaga House of Gucci, we also have Halle Berry’s directorial debut on Netflix with the movie MMA, Bruised and in selected theaters, the return of Paul Thomas Anderson to the cinema Pizza with licorice.

We got a story about a bag, a family with magical powers and a woman looking for one last chance at redemption, all that is circulating this weekend.

New movies to see in theaters this weekend

  • Gucci House
  • Charm
  • Pizza with licorice
  • National Champions
  • Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City
  • People

The last time we saw Lady Gaga on the big screen, she received post-award love awards, including her first Oscar. (He should have won more, but I deviate) He is back in the awards race against former Oscar nominee Adam Drive at Ridley Scott’s House of Gucci.

New movies to stream from home this weekend

  • People (Screening time)
  • Bruised (Netflix)
  • The Beatles: Get Back Part One, Two, Three (Disney +)

The Humans is coming out in theaters but is also making its Showtime debut. It’s one of those movies that surprised me when I saw it at the Nashville Film Festival. It is a beautifully written and directed psychological thriller that you do not want to miss.

We see Halle Berry’s directorial debut as an MMA fighter looking for a final shot. I, for the first time, am excited to see it because Berry is a very good actress, so seeing what she is capable of behind the camera makes it easy to miss it.

What will you watch this weekend? Will you enjoy a movie in theaters or in streaming?
