A new offer has arrived on the internet to remind us that a new one Scream the film will hit theaters January 14, 2022. It’s quick and easy, according to the “Friendskilling” character posters we saw last week – in this case, cast members Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega and Courteney Cox were asked to look at the camera and scream… and is coming is pretty silly, until we get to Neve Campbell, who is about to throw a little more Ghostface ass as the heroine of the Sidney Prescott franchise. You can see the promo in the above integration, where the movie trailer follows.
New Scream comes to us from Ready or not (Look at it HERE) directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. The screenplay was written by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick. Vanderbilt also co-produced the film for Project X Entertainment with Paul Neinstein and William Sherak. Chad Villella, Gary Barber, Peter Oillataguerre, Ron Lynch, Cathy Konrad and Marianne Maddalena are executive producers along with the original Scream author Kevin Williamson.
The film has the following synopsis:
Twenty-five years after a series of brutal murders that rocked the quiet city of Woodsboro, a young killer wears the Ghostface mask and begins targeting a group of teenagers to resurrect secrets from the city’s deadly past.
You can read our visiting interview with the directors at THIS LINK and our visiting interview with the cast members HERE.
Barrera, Ortega, Cox and Campbell are joined by David Arquette, Jack Quaid, Marley Shelton, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Dylan Minnete, Mason Gooding, Mikey Madison, Kyle Gallner and Sonia Ammar.
Although this new movie just has a title Scream, is a continuation of the previous four Scream movies, as you can understand from the fact that Campbell, Cox, Arquette and Shelton returned as Sidney Prescott, Gale Weathers, Dewey Riley and Judy Hicks.
