Fans are waiting to see what happens next with many wrestlers released by WWE earlier this year and throughout 2021, and one of them heading to Hollywood. That would be the former Karrion Kross, like Racing choice reports that the former NXT champion has been selected in a new project. According to those with whom they spoke on the subject, they confirmed that Cross has been selected for the leading role in an action film that is going to start shooting next year. No details are known about the title of the project or who the director is, but we will let you know if we find out more.
Another recently released star is also working on a film, as Windham (formerly Bray Wyatt) is set to star in a Red Room adaptation. Windham is collaborating with Callosum Studios owner Jason Baker on the project, which Baker describes as “Ichi the Killer meets Xanadu.”
As for Kross, we’ll have to wait and see what the play is, but we can easily see him in an action movie style role.
We’ll also have to wait and see where Kross goes, thanks to standard WWE non-compete contracts. Cross’s fiancée, Scarlett, has also been released, so they can end up in the same place wherever they choose to go next. The duo tore it up at NXT and had one of the most epic entries in the WWE. They looked like a padlock to move to Raw or SmackDown after Kross held the title for a while longer, but as most transitions from NXT to Raw or SmackDown, things got a little messy.
The ball seems to be crushed at least once before an NXT star becomes the powerful NXT star everyone knows they are, as seen with Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley, Keith Lee, Tegan Nox and others. The same was true for Kross, as he did not make his debut with Scarlett in Raw, and then while holding the NXT title he lost to Jeff Hardy, who did not even have a title at the time.
Now, he ended up getting some wins, but then he was accidentally given a helmet that Cross had since said was not his idea, and he was released before he could reunite with Scarlett. What seemed like a sure blow became another missed opportunity and now we have to wait and see where Cross and Scarlett will end up.
