There are many words that can be used to describe M. Night Shyamalan, but the most appropriate one may be “non-stop”. He has made films that have become box office successes and failures. He has made films that have been praised and criticized by critics, but man has never stopped making films and most importantly he has never stopped making films. its special kind unique films. As with all things M. Night, we do not know much about his next work, but what we do know now is that Dave Bautista will star.
The next movie by M. Night Shymalan is called Hitting the cabin and Deadline states that the Guardians of the Galaxy and Dune Star Dave Bautista has taken over the lead of the project. At this point, everything but the title is being kept secret, so we know nothing exactly about what the new movie is about.
Knock on the cab it certainly sounds like the name of a fairly typical low budget horror movie and it is definitely likely to be a low budget horror movie. Almost all of M. Night Shyamalan’s films would be considered low-budget photography. However, we can be sure that there will be some kind of reversal which will make this movie anything but formal. If someone had not already made it Wooden shelter in the forest, you could see a version of M. Night Shyamalan.
Of course, watching a low-budget horror film starring Dave Bautista would be a reversal in itself, as he looks like a guy who could easily tackle and dismantle any monster in the woods that fell into his cabin. That said, seeing Dave Bautista in an M. Night Shyamalan movie is not so strange. Bautista was constantly looking for various projects to be a part of and has collaborated with some remarkable directing talent, from James Gunn to Denis Villeneuve and Zack Snyder.
Bautista has collected one much more varied filmography than most others who have come to movies from the world of professional wrestling. While Bautista has done his part in action hero roles, he has also done a lot more in a relatively short period of time. It might seem strange if John Cena or Dwayne Johnson were cast in an M. Night movie, but Bautista who does it seems to fit in with his career and the one he has clearly made for himself.
While we may know nothing about Crash in the cabin, any move by M. Night Shyamalan has potential and we can be almost sure that at worst it will be unforgettable. Almost all of his films are, for better or worse. And Dave Bautista always brings it to every show. Hitting the cabin is scheduled to be released on February 3, 2023.
