Ananya Panday has been highly praised by her latest film Gehraiyaan. The film revolves around a complicated relationship and infidelity.
Gehraiyaan is a home noir by Shakun Batra and also stars Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Dhairya Karwa. Released on Amazon Prime Video on Friday.
Speaking about infidelity, Ananya told Healthshots in an interview, “I would not say I had an experience of infidelity, because I’m still so young. But I do not think he’s the kind of person I am, I’ll be fine this (infidelity). This is because I am an extremely loyal person. I put honesty and trust above all. “So, I would not be okay with that.”
He added, “But what I learned while doing Gehraiyaan is not to be critical. So, instead of completely avoiding the person, I can try to understand the reasons why he did it, what happened and all that. Do not think that “Everything in life is unforgivable or irreparable. But it totally depends. I can sit here and say ‘I’m not okay with that’, but I will never fully know how to react unless I am in the situation myself.”

Ananya’s character, Tia, seems unaware that her partner (Siddhant Chaturvedi) is cheating on her with her cousin (Deepika Padukone). The Hindustan Times review of the film wrote: “Although this is not the first time Bollywood has shown infidelity on screen, the narrative has certainly matured, the characters have more depth and are no longer just a mere attraction.”
