The first look of Saif Ali Khan from the upcoming action thriller Vikram Vedha has been released. The actor, who plays a policeman in the film, received compliments from fans for his tough and rough appearance with a pair of jeans, a T-shirt and sunglasses.

Hrithik Roshan, who surprised his fans a few weeks ago with his first appearance as Vedha, shared Saif’s new appearance on his social media accounts. Hrithik plays gangster Vedha in Vikram Vedha, a Hindi remake of the Tamil film of the same name, while Saif will appear as police officer Vikram.

Hrithik praised Saif as “one of the best actors” as he released the new show on Thursday and said he was looking forward to starting filming. He wrote, “Working with one of the best actors and a colleague I have admired for years will be an experience I will love. I look forward to it!”

Fans have garnered praise for Saif’s new appearance on social media. “Solid” one wrote, while another exclaimed “Damn”. One Twitter user commented, “So excited to see you both on screen, two of the BEST (in terms of the nature of the roles you both had before as well) actors I grew up watching together? Well, yes!”

Saif had previously spoken about working on the film with Hrithik Roshan, which will mark the first time they will see each other in almost two decades. They last saw each other at the 2002 Naa Tum Jaano Na Hum.

“We have read it a few times and it will be a very challenging film. Hrithik is a guy who I think is an amazing actor, look and dancer. “He is a general force in cinema, so I have to get up early and pick up my socks,” he told Pinkvilla, joking that he would not accept the film if asked to dance with Hrithik.

Vikram Vedha, which will also star Radhika Apte and Rohit Saraf in pivotal roles, is set to hit theaters on September 30 this year.
