Recent years, Robert Eggers brought some of the most interesting and bizarre movies to the big screen and we love to watch them. He is not a restrained person, so when we had the opportunity to see the Focus Features part of the Universal Pictures presentation at CinemaCon, and they showed footage from The North, this writer was through the moment they said the name Eggers. The first trailer and images were released in December and things have been a bit quiet since then. This is not surprising given the giant question mark that hangs throughout the spring movie season, but EPK released some more images that look very sweet.
The cast for The North it’s very awesome, and it looks like it’s going to be awesome in the best possible way. The question of whether or not he will find an audience remains to be seen. Such films either hit hard or do not hit at all, which is unfortunate. We can hope that this will be a success for Eggers and the studios continue to let him bring his incredible visions to life.
