Cannes Film Festival: Deepika Padukone chooses a formal black look for the 2nd day

Deepika Padukone chose another impressive outfit for the second day of the Cannes Film Festival where she is a member of the jury. For her everyday look, Deepika chose a black pleated shirt with a full sleeve with elegant black pants. The USP of her appearance was the snake necklace and her bold red lips. Deepika posed once again against the French Riviera for her glamorous photos. He shared the first photos on Instagram Stories. He was also seen at the Indian pavilion with Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur.

Earlier on Tuesday, Deepika opened the festival with beige top-green pants and later opted for a black and brown glowing saree. Both clothes were by Sabyasachi. During the day, Deepika participated in a special press conference. There she talked about how she hopes to fulfill her duties as a jury and just wants to enjoy the movies.

On the red carpet, Padukone posed with the members of the jury, the French actor Vincent Lindon, the English actor-director Rebecca Hall, the Iranian director Asghar Farhadi, the Swedish actor Noomi Rapace, the Italian actor-director Jasm French director Ladj Ly, American director Jeff. Nichols and Norwegian director-screenwriter Joachim Trier from Norway.

As part of the eight-member jury, Deepika, known for its Piku, Padmaavat and Gehraiyaan films, will help select the winner of the coveted Golden Palm at the closing ceremony on May 28th.

Individuals from India who have been on the Cannes Jury include the late Mrinal Sen (1982), director Mira Nair (1990), writer Arundhati Roy (2000), Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (2003), Nandita Das (2005) , Sharmila Tagore (2009), Shekhar Kapur (2010) and Vidya Balan (2013).

Delhi director Shaunak Sen’s documentary Everything that breathes and Pratham Khurana’s short film at Le Cinef (competition for film schools) is the only Indian film representation at the main festival.
