Priyanka is a well-known name in Hollywood and her latest work in Bollywood was the 2019 film The Sky Is Pink. Priyanka said whether she is Bollywood or Hollywood, she has seen women defending women.
Calling Katrina and Alia “two of the country’s top actresses,” Priyanka told Deadline in an interview, “The three of us decided to make a film together and work together to produce it. But the idea is, yes, it was very different when I started. We were all confronted, and our casting depended a lot on the starring role of the film, and it depends on who we like at the moment and that was a very disturbing feeling. “It’s a really indicative question because it really gave my career a very specific direction because of a certain uncomfortable feeling.”
Sharing the mantra behind making it big in her film career, she said: “I took on a lot of pieces that were female. I took on movies that were exclusively on my shoulders because it was very inconvenient to have to taste the season and then not get cast. So, it sets me up to make films that did not always have the big male protagonists and it made my career very much my own “.
Directed by Farhan Akhtar, Jee Le Zaraa is produced by Farhan and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby, led by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti. The screenplay is co-written by Zoya, Farhan and Reema.
