Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday are ruling the social media with the promotional images for their upcoming film Liger. To promote their film and connect with fans, the co-stars embarked on a tour that has taken them to many cities in India. Earlier they visited Gujarat and then Pune where they interacted with their fans. Team Liger, is currently promoting its sports drama in Chandigarh. The two co-stars were seen wearing white ethnic wear. The Dear Comrade hero was dressed in a white kurta pajama and the leading lady was stylish in a matching salwar.
Dharma Productions shared the picture from their promotion in the Punjab capital. VD is seen lifting Ananya Panday between the sugarcane fields in one picture while in another he is driving a tractor with her. Along with some lassi, the group is also seen indulging in some Punjabi food. The makers captioned the photos, “#Chandigarh, this #Liger duo is ready to drop the latest beats with #Coka 2.0 in YOUR city and you know what they say…when in Chandigarh – do as the Chandigarh-ians do !”
In the film, Vijay Deverakonda will play a speech-impaired kickboxer. The trailer, which was released in December, told the story of a Mumbai street thug who rose to the top of the MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) sport. The film also marks the Bollywood debut of former boxing great Mike Tyson. However, he will only appear in the film as a cameo.
Liger is slated to hit the theaters on August 25, 2022. The film will be released in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Tamil.
