Faisal Khan, who had starred alongside Aamir Khan in their 2000 film Mela, said his brother could not live up to the expectations he had from his last release Laal Singh Chaddha. Faisal also said it seemed opportune that Aamir Khan gave a clarification on his comments about India’s “growing intolerance” just before the film’s release. Aamir had asked the public not to boycott Laal Singh Chaddha for his comments and said, “I feel sad that some of the people who say this, in their hearts, think that I am someone who does not like India. in their hearts, but it is untrue.
In a recent conversation with Times of India, Faisal was asked if it was the right time for Aamir to apologize for the comment. He replied, “Yes, it was right to apologise. No one knows everything in life. There is nothing wrong with apologizing and correcting yourself. You become a better person after this. He should have apologized immediately after this happened of the thing, not when his movie came out. That seems opportunistic. But if somebody doesn’t realize that they might have hurt somebody, then I don’t know about it. Because you never know when somebody’s going to realize it.”

Faisal also revealed his reaction to Laal Singh Chaddha. He said, “I felt the film was good in parts. I felt Aamir should have chosen a better script, especially as he was coming up with a film after 4 years. I liked the film in parts but not completely. With Aamir And other good actors you expect to do a really good job. They should blow your mind. But that wasn’t the case with Laal Singh Chaddha, unfortunately. It wasn’t a ‘wow!'” film.”
Laal Singh Chaddha, which also starred Kareena Kapoor, Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya in pivotal roles, hit the theaters on August 11. It marked Aamir’s first release after his film Thugs of Hindostan in 2018. Laal Singh Chaddha could not perform well at the box office.
