As if David Gordon Green wasn’t riding high enough with his fresh-faced success Carnival trilogy, the 47-year-old director is arguably most excited about his upcoming rendition of the horror classic The Exorcist (2023). The aforementioned reboot is the first of its kind in nearly 20 years, with Dominion: Prequel to the Exorcist (2005) which serves as the final entry in the iconic film series. Despite this, Green has been given the green light to produce and according to him, the upcoming horror film will be full of imaginative sequences and terrifying terror. As if we needed another reason to put up with it.

Famous scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis has understandably been in the spotlight lately, especially considering Halloween is over is out in cinemas and the Peacock this week. Curtis’ latest focus in the headlines, however, is the 63-year-old actress who claims the upcoming film will mark her final appearance as Laurie Strode. While chatting with Jimmy Kimmel, Curtis echoed the previous sentiment, while also stating that she would not see another Carnival films, as he will not be involved. And considering the fact that the franchise has arguably become incredibly successful because of Curtis’ involvement over the years, her unflinching attitude hits the nail on the head.

And while Jamie Lee Curtis has re-emerged in the spotlight in recent years, horror fans on Reddit are obsessed with another promising scream queen making her long-awaited return to the genre — and this is A Nightmare on Elm Street veteran Heather Langenkamp; In a recent interview, Langenkamp herself even expressed interest in her character Nancy Thompson having a final battle with infamous horror villain Freddy Krueger.
