Actress Priyanka Chopra has commented on director Guneet Monga’s documentary The Elephant Whisperers, which has been nominated for an Oscar 2023. Taking to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, Priyanka shared a poster of the film. In another post she tagged the documentary team. Guneet shared a post and wrote, “Elephant Whispers is an ode to devotion and love.. an ode to unconditional selfless love for beautiful baby Ellie Raghu who felt all the emotions like us humans but only two could to hear his whispers – Bomman and Bellie. I am so thankful for @kartikigonsalves (the director), who discovered this sacred bond and entrusted us with the story so pure and surreal. Of course, *thanks* to the incredible @netflix team – you don’t just empower dreams, you make them come true!’

The Elephant Whisperers has been nominated in the Short Documentary category for Haul Out, How Do You Measure A Year, The Martha Mitchell Effect and Stranger At The Gate. The story revolves around a family who adopts two orphaned baby elephants in the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve of Tamil Nadu.
