Keeping things professional. Former couple Zach Braff and Florence Pugh reunited to promote their new film, A good man.
Directed by Braff, 47, the film – which was shot before it was revealed in August 2022 that they had split after three years of dating – stars Pugh, 27, as a woman looking to get her life back on track after a tragic accident . Along the way, she forms an unlikely friendship with her would-be father-in-law, whom she plays Morgan Freeman.
The Scrubs The alum shared several photos of him and him Black Widow star kicking off press for the film in London via Instagram Stories on Wednesday, March 8, including a clip of him and Pugh attending an official BAFTA screening and Q&A about the film the night before. Braff wore a light blue suit and high-top sneakers, while Pugh kept things classy in a black midi dress and heels.
The following morning, Braff posted pictures of his visits to the BBC and Virgin Radio UK via his Instagram Story, before sharing a snap of his ex-girlfriend’s press outfit for the day. Smiling for the camera, Pugh showed off her fun side wearing a matching lavender skirt, shirt and jacket for the interview, which she teamed with tall black boots and a black clutch bag.
During Pugh’s interviews, Mr Garden State The director shared a behind-the-scenes shot of the star. The Little women The star herself reposted the photos of her ex Instagram Storiesexcept he shared a video he took of the film’s poster, which he aptly captioned, “Press Day!!!!!”
Last summer, Pugh announced the news of her and Braff’s split with her Harper’s Bazaar cover theme. “We tried to do this split without people knowing, because it was a relationship that everyone has an opinion on,” she said at the time. “We just felt that it would really give us an advantage to not have millions of people telling us how glad they are that we’re not together. That’s how we did it. When I talk about it, my throat automatically catches.”
The two remained friendly, sharing a sweet interaction on social media together in November 2022. Promoting a charity project with his former Scrubs co-star Donald FaisonBraff captioned a Instagram post November 10, “Bidding on eBay for a 30 minute zoom with @donald_aison and me. ALL proceeds go towards building custom designed homes for severely injured veterans through Homes For Our Troops. LINK IN BIO!!!!!!”
The Don’t worry dear The star showed her support for the fundraiser in the comments section of the post, writing: “This is what I’m bidding on.”
During their relationship, the stars faced backlash for their 20-year age difference. The Midsommar The actress responded to the criticism through a video on Instagram in April 2020stating, “The abuse you do to him is the abuse you do to me.”
She continued: “I’ve never been an Instagram page that likes the toxic vibe. I was just an Instagram page trying to bring some light and trying to be positive and trying to make people smile. I will not allow [bullying] on my page. I’m not for that. It upsets me. … People are hurting and people are dying and some of you decided to bully for no reason.”
