Henry Cavill, Jake Gyllenhaal join new cast of Guy Ritchie film

It was announced by Black Bear International Henry Cavill (The Witcher), Jake Gyllenhaal (Ambulance) and Eiza González (Baby Driver) have signed on to reteam with the director Guy Ritchieis in his next action movie. Filming of the film is expected to begin this summer in Spain.

Gyllenhaal collaborated with the English director on the recently released action thriller The agreement. Meanwhile, Cavill and González just wrapped production on Ritchie’s upcoming spy flick The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.

“There’s something special that happens when you work regularly with the same partners: you build a rapport and a trust that allows everyone to do their best work,” Ritchie said in a statement. “Jake, Henry and Eiza are all amazingly talented, committed and engaging actors. This will be an action-packed film that is both mentally stimulating and physically exciting.”

The untitled project will be signed and directed by Ritchie. Further details about its plot and characters are still being kept under wraps, but it is being described as a big-budget action spectacle accompanied by Ritchie’s trademark humour. The Aladdin director serves as a producer alongside Black Bear International’s Ivan Atkinson and John Friedberg.

Before starring in Ritchie’s next film, Cavill will reprise his role as Geralt of Rivia in Netflix’s upcoming third season. The Witcher. This season is expected to be the last time he will play the hero. He’s also currently attached to star in Amazon Studios’ adaptation of Warhammer 40,000, a board game that Cavill adores his whole life.

As for Gyllenhaal, the Oscar nominee will lead Amazon and Apple TV+’s Road House remake He is presumed innocent. Meanwhile, González will next be seen in the Netflix series The Three-Body Problem from the creators of Game of Thrones.
