One of the most anticipated movies of the Mammootty CBI franchise is titled – CBI-5: The Brain. The shooting of the film is proceeding with test titles so far. Mammootty wears the character of Sethurama Iyer after a 16-year hiatus. The film is directed by K Madhu and written by SN Swamy.
It was on February 18, 1988, that the first film in the series, “Oru CBI Diary Kurippu” was released. The new CBI movie will arrive with a complete change in creation and presentation.
Actor Mukesh returns with the character of Chacko. There will be a new team with Chacko to help Sethurama Iyer.

The Swargachitra Appachan film has Jakes Bejoy composing the music and Akhil George lifting the camera.
