The Tadap is quite close to the 25 crores limit, with 24.80 crores to his kitten now. The movie brought 1.50 crores on Sunday and these are the best numbers now for the film before it screens in theaters. In fact, this could also be the last day for the movie, when more than 1 crore has been entered and from here the numbers will be around 50 lakhs for at least a couple of days.
There is no Hindi film currently competing in the mass zones for Ahan Shetty and Tara Sutaria, but it will be screened on Thursday due to the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home. The film has a huge advertising campaign around it and will be released in various languages and in all formats, with the result that the individual screens, as well as the multiplexes, are busy.
With Pushpa also available and aimed primarily at the masses, there is a chance that Tadap will fall just short of the 30 crores limit and close in the 28-29 crores range. However, the film will soon be released on OTT and it would be interesting to see how the audience will be word of mouth for the romantic action drama then.
