And this weekend, Alexander Skarsgård starred as the Viking Warrior Prince The Northwhich differs from other films of the genre.
The North is an A24 film by writer / director Robert Eggers, which previously made it a hit with critics. The witch and The lighthouse. While Skarsgård was talking about his latest film, he shared the story behind the film with these words:
Alexander Skarsgård, who is a producer on The North (and torn seriously to play the lead role) he said Slash Film that a decade ago he had ambitions to see the Viking Age depicted in a historically accurate way, but he had never seen it completed. Skarsgård was born in Sweden, which makes his ancestors perhaps directly aligned with the Vikings.
Of course, his father is Stellan Skarsgård, who coincidentally starred in two of the Thor movie theater. The younger Skarsgård talked about the difference between The North and illustrations of Marvel’s Scandinavian mythology:
The North has an incredible cast including Nicole Kidman, Ethan Hawke, Anya Taylor-Joy, Willem Dafoe and Björk. The film was born out of Alexander Skarsgρrd’s own desire to make a film about the Vikings, which later turned into a discussion with Robert Eggers, who co-wrote and directed it. The movie is one an action epic that serves as a story of revenge for a Viking prince seeking justice for the murder of his father.
Thor, on the other hand, relies on Scandinavian mythology and Marvel comics, making it much brighter than its dirty and relentless world. The North. Chris Hemsworth’s God of Thunder will be back this summer with Thor: Love and Thunder.
The film has won rave reviews from critics Overall, with CinemaBlend also making a great movie 4.5 out of 5 stars in our review.
