During a recent interview, Ananya Panday talked about portraying strong female characters, future plans and more. The actress was recently praised for her role Gehraiyaan which also starred Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Dhairya Karwa.
Ananya Panday says that Hindi movie heroines are usually portrayed as bechari or bi ***
Speaking to Cosmopolitan magazine, she also explained her recent statement that the heroines in Hindi movies are either “Bechaari or a bi ***”.
Ananya explained that she found this line while reading a book with which she agrees. He added, “Although sometimes artists and artists think they are doing something different, they could put women in a box. For example, even if an actor plays the role of a bad *, he can be a “monotonous” bad ***. So we end up at the beginning: the heroine is either just a spoon or a little ** “.
He added, “But in real life, no one is just a type of person. Each of us has so many different aspects and I think it’s time to start exploring them … I think it’s a great time to be an actor this “because people make this leap of faith and invest in women and their stories.”
Talking more about her future plans she said she wanted to be happy and be the best version of herself. Adding to that, “I do not know what ‘happy’ means yet, but I know I want to be happy. And I want to be the best actor I can be, to continue to grow, to evolve and not get caught up in unnecessary things. Always “I was a very curious person and I always wanted more for myself. So I want to keep that energy and fire.”
