This Eid will see the release of two big films – Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff starrer Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan.
Eid is here and Muslims around the world are in a festive mood. For film lovers, Eid also means the release of a Salman Khan film. But this year, Bollywood’s Bhaijaan has no release, nor any major releases in the coming months.
While the reason behind this absence remains unknown, earlier reports suggest that Khan opted for a break following the disappointing box office performances of his last festival releases, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and Tiger 3.
According to reports, the actor is currently selective about his projects and reads scripts carefully before committing. Earlier this year, Salman surprised everyone after announcing his collaborations with Karan Johar and AR Murugadoss.

As audiences eagerly await Salman’s next releases, let’s take a look at the past Eid blockbusters and the films set to release on Eid 2024.
SALMAN KHAN’S EID PUBLICATIONS
- Bajrangi BhaijaanReleased a day before Eid in 2015, the film is one of Salman Khan’s biggest hits. Surprisingly, the film broke box office records as it collected over 922 Crore worldwide.
- Ek Tha TigerThe first film of YRF Spy Universe, released during Eid 2012. The film featured Salman Khan along with Katrina Kaif. This action packed movie broke the records and earned 320 Crore worldwide.
- DabanggStarring Salman Khan as Chulbul Pandey and Sonakshi Sinha’s big Bollywood debut, the film grossed over Rs 214 Crore and became a blockbuster.
- SultanThe romantic sports drama starring Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma, collected over 627 Crore. Salman and Anushka’s collaboration proved successful and their chemistry was loved by the audience.
- WantedReleased in 2009, Wanted was hailed as one of Salman Khan’s comeback films after several flop projects. The film grossed 86 Crore and was a remake of the Telugu film Pokiri, starring Mahesh Babu.
RELEASING EID 2024
- Bade Miyan Chote MiyanThe film follows the journey of two soldiers, played by Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, who are sent on a global mission to stop the chaotic plans of a scientist. The film has been shot in many scenic locations such as Mumbai, Scotland, London, Luton, Abu Dhabi and Jordan.
- MaidanIt will be an inspirational sports drama that explores the life of football coach Syed Abdul Rahim and his impact on Indian football. Directed by Amit Sharma, the film has Ajay Devgn in the lead role, along with Priyamani, Rudranil Ghosh and Gajraj Rao.
Sharing the trailer of ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’, which will release this Eid 2024, Salman Khan took to Instagram and posted: ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’, akki n tiger good luck for the movie yeh bohut badi hit hogi . Loved the trailer and Ali must break the record of tiger n sultan ka with this. Umeed hai ke Hindustan ko aap aur aap ko Hindustan Eidi dengein…”
