Atlee, who was recently honored during a special screening of the film for the Indian Army, Mumbai Police and Traffic Police, said Khan’s performance was the main reason for the film’s success.
“It’s very overwhelming and it’s God’s blessing. God is so kind to us, and I think we’ve done our part as filmmakers to entertain the audience,” Atlee said. “I think it’s fun on the theater screen, and people are really happy about it, and they’re showering their love. Mainly, it’s all because of Mr. Shah Rukh sir, and thanks to Mr. Shah Rukh, Mr. Red Chillies and the entire core team that has worked with us day and night for the past three and a half years.”
Atlee said he and Khan are already planning their next collaboration, which he promised would be “something bigger”.
“The love you’ve given us will make us stronger and we’ll come up with something great with the next film,” he said. “I would love to work with everyone. I want to work with Salman sir. I want to work with Aamir sir. I want to work with Hrithik. This is my first Hindi film so I’m really grateful to see the love. Thank you thank you so much for supporting the film. And I hope you all enjoyed the film.”
Jawan It also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi. The film is a high-octane action thriller directed by Atlee in his first collaboration with Khan.
