Bill Murray thinks about the inappropriate behavior that led to the closure of his latest film

Bill Murray is still thinking about his inappropriate behavior, which led to the cessation of production of Searchlight Pictures’ “Being Mortal” last week.

On Saturday, the actor told CNN’s Becky Quick that he had a “difference of opinion” with a woman he worked with on the film, saying: “I did something I thought was funny and they did not take it that way.”

Murray said he spent the last week thinking about the incident. He did not specify what was said or to whom.

“From now on we are talking and trying to make peace with each other,” Murray said in an interview during the exclusive CNBC streaming coverage of the annual Berkshire Hathaway shareholders’ meeting. “We are both professionals, we like each other’s work, we like each other I think and if we can not really communicate and trust each other, it does not make sense to continue working together or do the movie as well. “It was quite an education for me.”

“Being Mortal” is based on Atul Gawande’s non-fiction book “Being Mortal: Medicine and What Matters in the End” and stars Murray with Aziz Ansari and Seth Rogan. The film was completed about halfway through before production stopped. It is scheduled for release in 2023, but it is unclear whether Murray will continue with the project.

He said he was optimistic that “we will make peace” and that production would resume, but noted that he would only do so if the woman involved in the incident felt comfortable doing so.

“I think he is a sad dog who can no longer learn,” Murray said, learning from his mistakes. “This is a really sad puppy that can no longer learn. I do not want to be this sad dog and I have no intention.”

“What would make me happier would be to put on my boots and both of us go back to work and be able to trust each other and work in a job that we have both devoted a lot of time to developing. skills, “he said.
