BOSTON – Living legend of Bollywood, Sampooran Singh Kalraknown simply as Gulzarwill visit Boston on Sunday July 17, 2022 and participate in an evening of poetry, ghazals and music at the Lynn Memorial Auditorium in Lynn, MA.

Gulzar, aged 87, is one of India’s leading lyricists and directors. It has won five Indian National Film Awards, including 2 Best Lyrics, 1 Best Screenplay, 1 Best Second Feature Film (Director) and 1 Best Popular Film (Director). 22 Filmfare Awards? an Oscar award. and a Grammy Award.
Additionally, Gulzar has been awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award, the Padma Bhushan, India’s third highest civilian award, and the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, the highest award in Indian cinema.
Praveen Misra, a Bostonian interested in Hindi music and cinema, said hearing Gulzar live in Boston is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
