After less than stellar reactions from fans, Universal decided it needed to restart the series and created The Mummy (2017), starring Tom Cruise (Nick Morton), Sofia Boutella (Ahmanet) and Annabelle Wallis (Jenny Halsey). This movie was considered to be the jump point for “Dark Universe”, but the download was not good overall and the Dark Universe stopped indefinitely.
