Cape of Good Films, a logo that sits quietly on the poster of many successful films, actually has a lot to boast about the success of the production company in recent years. Founded in 2009, this boutique content company started making films with meaning, but also commercial character.

Company co-founder Rana Rakesh Bali says: “Every story can be told through the cinema, provided it is treated with sensitivity, keeping in mind the audience for which you are making the film. No one comes to the theater, paying their money with effort to be taught a lesson. If you want to say something serious, say it in a way that educates them while making them smile. This is the mantra that Cape runs. ”

The last six years, through its correlations with great success – by Airlift (2016), Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (2017) and Mission Mangal (2019) in national award-winning and critically acclaimed films such as e.g. Rustom (2016), PadMan (2018), Tsubak (2017), and commercial receipts such as Caesar, Good Newwz (both 2019) and the biggest success of 2021 Sooryavanshi – Cape of Good Films had it all.

They also include Cape movies that cross the trail Naam Sabana (2017) and Ντουργκαμάτι:THE MYTH (2020), which were led by strong female protagonists. Her films, such as Laxmii (2020) and it was recently released Atrangi Re (2021), break new records for the highest viewership on OTT platforms as well. The content of these different in-house content movies covers genres like no other. Their raid on music video production also struck a chord Filhall and Filhall 2 record crash.

What stands out in Cape is that there is no face to it. “It’s just a team trying to do what they believe in and want to keep. “The feeling comes from the fact that the films we make are bigger than one person and one entity and must be maintained that way,” Bali shares.

The content house is now looking forward to seeing the most sought after movies like Raka Bandan, Ram Setu and OMG 2. It enters 2022 with a firm belief in support and content creation that breaks stereotypes, challenges ideas and makes audiences fall in love more with what they have always loved – movies!
