Two WWE stars are set to star in a new wrestling movie.
Sean Ross Sapp’s Competitive selection reports that Charlotte Flair and Liv Morgan have been cast in a movie based on wrestling that will be shot in Louisville, Kentucky in June.
According to Sapp, the film stars Emily Bett Rickards as Mildred Burke and is based on the book “Queen of the Ring” by Jeff Leen, a Pulitzer Prize-winning author. Aime Schoof and Isen Robbins are the producers, while the film is written and directed by Ash Avildsen.
Sapp wrote that Flair is set to play June Byers and Morgan will play Clara Mortensen. Josh Lucas (Billy Wolfe) and Marie Avgeropoulou (Babe Gordon) have also joined the film. WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross recently said on his podcast that he will be working on the film behind the scenes.
