Per The Hollywood Reporter, my love don't! is the latest from Coen (who was previously known for making films with his brother, Joel Coen) and his wife, Cooke.
Plot details for Honey Don't! remain hidden at this time. However, Evans is reportedly set to play the leader of a cult, while Qualley has been cast as a private detective and Plaza as a “woman of mystery.”
The film will be set in Bakersfield, California, with production scheduled to begin in New Mexico in March 2024.
My love don't! still has no release date from Focus Features. Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Robert Graf, Coen and Cooke are all producers on the film.
Coen and Cooke's latest film opens in theaters in February
Coen and Cooke recently collaborated on Drive-Away Dolls, which was originally scheduled for a September 2023 release but was delayed due to the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG -AFTRA) strikes.
Now set for release this February from Focus Features, Drive-Away Dolls also stars Qualley. The cast also includes Geraldine Viswanathan, Beanie Feldstein, Colman Domingo, Pedro Pascal, Bill Camp and Matt Damon.
Coen, Cooke, Graf, Beaven and Fellner are all producers on Drive-Away Dolls as well.
“This comedy caper follows Jamie, an uninhibited free spirit grieving yet another break-up with a friend and her demure friend Marian who desperately needs to relax,” reads the official synopsis. “Looking for a fresh start, the two embark on an impromptu road trip to Tallahassee, but things quickly go awry when they cross paths with a group of inept criminals along the way.”
Drive-Away Dolls is released in United States theaters on February 23, 2024, by Focus Features.
