The action has really been blown away by the audience, despite its graphic appeal. Moreover, it is not only men who love the film, even among women, this Hollywood bigwig has found favor. One of the main reasons behind this is the humor quotient, which further shows that as a genre, action comedy has quite a following when done right.

In fact, if you think back then this was one of the favorite genres of even Indian filmmakers in the 70s. Manmohan Desai delivered so many action comedies with an out and out masala feel that worked so well with the audience. He was the master of the genre and entertained the audience in a big way. Somehow, over the decades, this formula got lost somewhere in Bollywood, though Hollywood is still trying to revive it well. Deadpool & Wolverine.
