David Culbert wrote the screenplay for the film, executive produced by Jeffrey Allard and XYZ Films. XYZ Films is also handling global distribution sales and will pitch the project to potential buyers at the Cannes Film Festival this month.
Altieri said The Hollywood Reporter“When I first read the script for It was consumed, I was excited by the challenges it presented. Its characters not only have to deal with a terrifying creature that stalks the forest, but individually, they are also forced to fight their inner demons caused by real trials such as cancer or bereavement. I set out to visually adapt a film that balanced these situations that we can all face at some point, combined with the joy and terror of being lost deep in the wilderness as something unknown watches your every move.“
It was consumed Sounds interesting to me – and even if the story wasn’t engaging at all, I’d still watch a horror movie featuring Devon Sawa as a wild madman. So I’ll definitely be watching it when it comes out.
